Neolix Technologies, a global leader in autonomous logistics solutions and a pioneer in the development of RoboVans, announced this Tuesday, on the opening day of CES 2026, a strategic alliance with Salvador Caetano Auto, through the Caetano Mobility ecosystem. The agreement marks a decisive step in the Chinese technology company’s expansion into the European market and places Portugal at the heart of developing new intelligent mobility solutions.
The announcement explains that the partnership envisions collaboration between the two companies in exploring and implementing autonomous mobility scenarios, with particular emphasis on low-speed logistics. The starting point will be the execution of a proof of concept in Portugal, aimed at validating the integration of Neolix’s autonomous technologies in real industrial and logistical environments.
With a presence in 15 countries and regions and a fleet of over 15,000 autonomous vehicles in operation, Neolix has been establishing itself as a global reference in low-speed autonomous driving. Its solutions meet the most demanding international standards of safety and reliability, including European regulations, and have been adopted in multiple urban and industrial contexts.
On the Portuguese side, Salvador Caetano Auto brings deep knowledge of local markets and a strong industrial capability. The automotive group, with operations in 48 countries across Europe, Latin America and Africa, positions itself as a strategic partner to support the adaptation and scalability of Neolix’s solutions in the European context.
Beyond technological development, the alliance foresees close collaboration with national authorities, with the aim of contributing to the evolution of the regulatory framework for autonomous driving in Portugal. The ambition is to create a more efficient, safe and sustainable intelligent logistics ecosystem, with potential for replication in other European markets.
According to Will Zhao, the Chief Executive Officer of Neolix, Europe is “a crucial strategic market” for the company. “This collaboration represents an important step in building a global ecosystem of smart logistics. By joining forces with Salvador Caetano Auto, we aim not only to bring innovative solutions to the Portuguese market, but also to help shape the future of intelligent logistics in Europe,” he states.
Miguel Fonseca, CEO of Caetano Mobility and executive director of Salvador Caetano Auto, emphasizes that the partnership will accelerate the transformation of urban logistics in Portugal. “Neolix is a global reference in autonomous mobility applied to logistics. This alliance aligns with our commitment to more sustainable and intelligent transport and will create value and drive innovation in the European mobility ecosystem,” he notes.
The CES 2026 announcement reinforces Neolix’s position as one of the leading global players in the autonomous logistics vehicles sector and opens up new prospects for technological cooperation between China and Europe. The two companies acknowledge that this collaboration could evolve into a long-term partnership, focused on co-innovation, market expansion, and the dissemination of autonomous logistics solutions across Europe.
